Reviews From A Stroller Junkie

Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller

The Bugaboo Cameleon stroller is, in my opinion, the finest stroller to ever grace the sidewalks, concourses and nature ways of our fair city. I’ve had numerous strollers during my continuing tenure as a parent. I have jogging strollers, both single and double, lightweight strollers both single and double and pretty much everything else in between. I’m not saying I’ve owned very stroller out there, but I have certainly owned every category of stroller. That much is certain.

Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller

The Bugaboo Cameleon and it’s predecessor the bugaboo frog are just about the coolest strollers out there. Why do I say this? Well I’ve had one for 6 years for a start. I bought it with our first child and it has elegantly and gracefully survived our three children. There is no doubt in my mind that it could easily service several more children. It has been built with good old fashion quality and design.

The Stroller Is For You

The way to view a stroller purchase is selfishly. Your child, as long as he or she is safe, will be comfortable in any stroller that you choose.  So you must choose a stroller that suits your lifestyle.  And don’t be afraid to pay for a good stroller. The bugaboo series is not cheap by any measure. It’s worth paying for a stroller like the Bugaboo Cameleon because it’s so extremely convenient and flexible. Take the handlebars as an example. They are completely transversable. This means you can put the big wheels first if you like. Or you can put the small wheels first. Those big wheels are great when you are out on a nature trail for example. But when you are noodling through the mall in and out of stores you want the front wheels to be free for ease of turning.

Turns On A Dime

The unit can spin around on a dime. The tight turning radius is great and everything, but my point is its EASY to maneuver and can be done with one hand for the most part. This is very important. Imagine yourself at the mall with your little one, an arm full of bags and on your way out to find your car in the parking lot. Being able to push that stroller with one hand and zip it around cars and in out of shops will be a lifesaver.

Flexible Seating

The seat that comes with the Bugaboo Cameleon has a split personality. It can be either a bassinet, and a good one, or an upright seat. It’s the same frame and fabric, you just have to change what goes in the base. Regardless of the configuration you can completely remove the bassinet and carry it. You can also attach both the bassinet or the seat to face towards Mommy or away from Mommy depending on your childs mood.

Takes A CarSeat

A stroller for an infant that doesn’t take a carseat is useless in my opinion. While the child certainly shouldn’t always be in a carseat, when they are asleep it’s nice to keep them that way. Attaching a car seat to the bugaboo is easy with adapters. You can find a wide range of carseats. The one we went with was the You can check out another review here.

Folds Down, Fits Anywhere

One of the main advantages of the Bugaboo Cameleon is the fact that it folds down small but also comes apart very easily. What this means is that it’s super easy to fit into even the smallest car trunk. And you don’t have to fight with it to take it apart or reassemble it. Bugaboo has done a first class job in making it easy to pop it apart and back together.

Lots Of Stuff Included

When you spend a large amount of money on a stroller then you would expect more than the basics to be included. Bugaboo shares this philosophy. They include some of the things you would expect, like a bug cover and a rain cover. The bugaboo cameleon is a fabulous baby stroller that will follow your child right up until they no longer want to ride. Check it out another review right here.
